When you hear the word burpee, what do you think? They aren’t that bad! When you hear Burpee Mile Challenge, that’s another story!

The Burpee Mile Challenge came about by a suggestion of my husband who did a mile of burpees during one of his military trainings. I thought it would be a fun challenge to do, and why not do it for a great cause. So we will do a mile of burpees down the oceanfront and end with an after party at Chix at the oceanfront! All of the proceeds from your entry fee will go to the EOD Foundation. This foundation is near to our hearts since I am a military spouse. May 6 is the EOD Memorial weekend, so there’s no better time to do this event!

Many EOD techs have lost their lives and limbs serving our great country, and bringing awareness to this foundation is important to me. So we will burpee for a cause. This will be a challenge that will test your mental and physical toughness, but we will be encouraging each other along the way!

When we end at Chix, your first orange crush is free! Thank you to Chix for donating 30 crush tickets!

This event is open to all gyms! So feel free to bring your team! We will be training at 10am on Saturday mornings at our 24 hour Fitness Center (620 Village Drive, Suite F. Virginia Beach, VA 23454. The training is free and open to the public!  Ive marked 400m outside of the gym, and it was a total of 164 burpees for me. Each week we will add 200m of training. Feel free to train at your gym! You will NEED to train for this event to prevent any injuries!

To register for this event, click here. Your registration will include a Burpee Mile Finisher Tshirt and 1 crush after you finish!

We will meet at Chix at the Oceanfront (701 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach 23451) the morning of the event from 8:30-8:50 to sign waivers and get your Tshirts. We will burpee broad jump a half mile up the boardwalk from Chix and then back for the after party! I suggest you bring gloves for your hands.
